Frequently asked questions
How do I add working days to a date?
Start from the day after your start date and count forward, skipping Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, until you have counted the number of working days you need. The calculator above does this for you and shows which bank holidays it skipped.
Is the start date counted?
No. The start date is day zero, so 1 working day after Monday is Tuesday, and 5 working days after a Friday is the following Friday. This matches how most UK deadlines, such as “within 10 working days”, are worked out.
What is 10 working days from today?

What if my deadline lands on a bank holiday?
It can't: bank holidays aren't counted as working days, so the result is always a working day. If a bank holiday falls inside the period, the deadline moves one working day later.
